Okay, I guess that I had never actually tried connecting to my
machine, because ftp works. However, when I connect, it asks for a
username, then prints something like this:
331 encrypt challenge, 83876, as a password
Password:

What am I supposed to do? I don't know how to encrypt that number. Am
I missing something obvious?
