it's an old oversight in /emu/Plan9/win.c, that didn't take into
account some later changes to the Plan 9 window system.
i noticed it about a month ago, when revisiting
the code, and have (i think) repaired it here,
and it should be made available shortly.
if you need it desperately, let me know and i'll email it.
