I want to display retinal photographs and, interactively, superimpose closed
curves and points ala art(1). The pixels thus identified would be analyzed
to develop a diagnosis.

Has anyone done this or something like it?

Is it reasonable to develop this functionality by adding C code to fb/9v source?

Can anyone identify  sw for unix/pc with this functionality? This is a low
budget, non-commercial effort.
